Our cat just brought one in. It seemed to be just alive but the only visible injury was the loss of its tail which was hanging on by a thread. I think it may have been carrying eggs. I have put it in a sunny but secluded spot in the garden where I think I saw one last year in the hope it will recover. In 15 years living here these are the only two I have seen though we get plenty of slowworms. I took a photo but can't seem to attach it.
